Susan Hayward

For many years now, I've said Susan Hayward is, without doubt, the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. But this movie was so boring, it wasn't worth watching - not even just to stare at her.

Her acting isn't so hot in this, either...she's kind of tough and starchy in an unenjoyable way. But then, the only ones in the cast who come off well are Ava Gardner (because she's mesmerizing looking in beautiful clothes) and Hildegard Kneff, because she brings some passion and humor to her part of the story.

In the opening scenes when I was watching Hayward and Peck together, I was thinking, "God, what a boring couple." They have no chemistry together whatsoever.

She has a very unforgiving part. All she does is sit around and listen to him talk about all of his ex girlfriends. I think she does the best she could with a role. I believe the role is suppose to make her look and act boring, next to Ava Gardner. See Peck doesn't even realize himself that she is actually the best thing that has ever happened to him and she is the love of his life until he is ready to drop dead.

Actually it is worth watching just to stare at her, Ava, and Hildegard Knef.
