of Nancy Reagan. Talk about typecasting. I enjoyed this sweet movie so much.
I didn't see that but maybe you're right. He married Nancy a few months before this movie was released but I doubt the actress was cast because she did or did not remind someone of Nancy. Why wouldn't they have just cast Nancy? She was an actress.

Well, both Phyllis Thaxter (who played the part) and Nancy Davis (Reagan) both were very busy in the early '50s so maybe the timing wasn't right.
