If this film was remade
It should include the apparitions of the archangel Michael, who appeared to the three children a year before Anyone agree?

shareI think they show the angel in The Thirteenth Day. I know they consecrated Portugal to Michael ages before the visitations happened but I always thought the Angel of Peace was supposed to be Muriel.
ETA Actually I have just seen The 13th Day and they don't show the Angel. Big mistake in my book. His messages and advice were extremely important.
Let's just say that God doesn't believe in me.
I think that eventually another, not necessarily a "remake" per se, will be made. As we race toward the 100th anniversary in 2017, I think we will see and here more about this incredible story at least from Catholic websites. I think the secular media will largely ignore it, just as it did back then.
The latest is The 13th Day.
Considering what's become of the film industry, I'd dread to see a remake.
It would be nice if Dr Richard Dawkins, the scientist atheist, were to appear in a cameo role!
shareYou know, that is a GREAT idea. And I know exactly who he should play. (No, not Arturo.) I think he should be one of the reporters from the secular newspapers. Lots of people who showed up just to see what was going on, were atheists who were just there to cover the "phenomenon" that was started by these "ignorant people and their superstitions." Many of them saw the "solar dance" so they were going around asking everyone else what they'd seen?, had they believed in the apparitions or not before coming?, etc. -- they gathered a lot of useful information.
You've got me?! Who's got you?!
I think a remake of this film would be a GREAT idea. Hollywood is inundating audiences with supernatural stories about:
-- people with special powers (any awful comic book or superhero blockbuster; even The Lone Ranger has Tonto as a mysterious medicine man!)
-- people with mad, mysterious technology (Inception, The Matrix, Looper)
-- general unexplainable weirdness (anything by M. Night Shyamalan)
-- vampires
-- the interjection of the afterlife in a romantic or whimsical way (Ghostbusters, Just Like Heaven)
-- sweeping, fantastical epics (Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter)
-- other categories I'm probably missing
Clearly, there is an appetite for the supernatural. I'd love to see a straightforward depiction of this story, no agenda either way, just the story as it comes down to us, done sincerely -- and with today's production values. It would be so different and unexpected, I bet it would be a hit.
I say this as a non-believer, by the way. I just think a film about actual, genuine faith that doesn't have any "angle" on religion would be a refreshing change.

Please put some dashes above your sig line so I won't think it's part of your dumb post.
What did you think of The Thirteenth Day?
You've got me?! Who's got you?!
What I saw of it so far was quite good
shareI watched it on DVD from Netflix. The Sun Miracle was well-handled, but the cheap sets and semi-surrealist photography, to me, was a bit depressing and claustrophobic, and the acting might could have been a tad more polished. Great musical scoring, especially during the Sun Miracle sequence.
