...just as the title line says. I can't imagine this film minus this actor and the character he portrays.

He was very good in it, providing comic relief

And more than comic relief - he kind of sums up the message when he "converts", saying, "The fool says in his heart there is no God" - of course, he himself had been that unbelieving "fool" through most of the movie...

Roland is delightful. His performance and the a capella choral music are the best things in this film, for me.
