just a quick heads up (the trivia section got this wrong). This is not the first onscreen meeting between charlie chaplin and buster keaton. although this is the best

the first meeting was a wierd publicity film called "Seeing Stars". it was silent and im sure there was a brief scene where chaplin and jackie coogan were sat eating and keaton came in as the waiter. anyone else seen this?

As you've noted, however, "Seeing Stars" was a publicity film, not an official release, so the act of Chaplin and Keaton may be said to be the first (and only) time they appeared together on screen after all.
