No, he made films after this one : A King in New York and A Countess from Hong Kong.
"I don't have time for a drink with you. Have you got a phone number ?"
The Mother and the Whore
I can vouch for that.
Volker Flenske: (While torturing David) I don't know why you're doing this to yourself!
I feel that it was his last really good movie. I liked A King in New York but Limelight had more to it for me.

nopeWhen there's no more room in hell, The dead will walk the earth...
No, but it should have been. Both A King in New York and A Countess From Hong Kong were misfires.
Limelight is a perfect finish to Chaplin's career, even if it isn't the last.
You could always check this one really good website (imdb.com), they have all that information. Oh, wait...

i always thought you got to give it to chaplin for picking a great leading actress in his final flick (sophia loren), himself only has a cameo in that late 1960's flick though, that was actually the first and only chaplin movie i ever saw for a very long while, just this year i saw another one, "the great dictator" which was much fun, and just today a movie they say has a similar status "duck soup" aired, but i still couldn't bring myself to check it out as you know comedy has a way of aging extremely poorly sometimes, i still haven't seen any of charles chaplin's silent movies, i completely missed that the other silent movie star, buster keaton, was in this, i only found out afterwards. man, what is up with that stairway handle? the intro of this movie looks like "psycho" (1960), and at first you begin to think it's a silent flick, on that it has some great dialogue, some of the lip movement looks off though, the scenes changing is like that of a tv movie, and it does feel a bit overlong, especially since you're used to movies from this era having a reasonable running time (just that duck soup i noticed ran for about an hour), it had an intriguing plot though.

desperately trying to break spell of madeleine,
since she hardly anymore come around here,
and this town is not the same,
ghostly as rarely she steps off the train,
on last day of easter the platform she came,
dress she wore made me fall on the railroad,
whistle blow into pieces i fell at her feet once more.
