when is this show going to be canceled?

i hate talk shows even this one with the news. i think they are boring as hell and why is this still on? i dont even watch talk shows, judge shows and reality shows. the keyword here is BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this show has been on when i was born. get rid of it and the shows like it.

"Today" will probably be on for a very long time, but the format needs to change. I don't like the whole fluff news they been doing for a long time now along with the coverage of celebrities, and the Royal family. That's not news. As much as I like "Today" I'm going to move over to CBS I'm the mornings permanently, because they know how to stay strictly news.

i dont watch it but its been on as long as i have been alive. im 60. dont even watch dateline or 60 minutes. what they have is not very intereseted or important to me. if i want to see something bad or sad i watch the news but not all the time

You're 60? You're the same age as "Today". (lol) Just joking. I hope I wasn't rough before. I would love to pursue a career in TV news after college, but I find myself reading TIME, New York Post, and The Star Ledger on my phone instead of watching it TV news. After reading it in the papers I'm not really in the mood to watch it on TV when I get home in the evening.

As much as I like the "Today Show" cast; I find myself watching the "CBS Morning Show", because it not gear towards a lot of fluff news, cooking segments, and makeover segments.

If you want hard news from NBC in the morning, get up at 4 AM and watch the early show, or tape it.

The Today show has been a joke for a long time. If aliens tuned in, they would conclude that the most important people on the planet are the young royals, Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan and the family with the 19 kids.

Think they would ever ask "the experts" what they think of the SC hearings on health care? Forget about it!

I used to live in Metro NY, so I remember Couric, Brokaw, Lauer and Curry from the days when they were serious journalists. The dumbing down of news shows reveals yet another part of the odious plan by the 1% to keep people fiddling while Rome burns. The bastards who now own mainstream media want to distract people with cheap hooker or confidence trickster types such as the Kashtrashians, Gosselins, Lohans, Duggars, etc., so no one will notice the destruction of honest government, the economic and social systems. The whole mess has been unwatchable for many years. If I want real news, I look to alternative, independent sources, mostly online. Print media is no longer reliable either.

My morning habit for years, was watching the Today show. But I've been noticing the downturn of the show for some time now. The fluff news, the loss of Meredith, the constant Duggars/Octomom coverage, the so-called "Professionals" segment with Donny Deutsch, and Star Jones (today's guest "professional" was Rosie O'Donnell(UGH!), Al Roker's constant upstaging of Matt with his inane witticisms, and of course, Curry as the co-host. Even with Matt signing a new contact, I don't know if that can keep me watching.
