Could Hoda Kotb Replace Ann Curry On 'Today'?

If this happens, I'll be surprised because I thought they were grooming Savannah Guthrie to replace Ann.

An alcoholic is someone you don't like who drinks as much as you do.

Greedy? I would do the same thing. She has a three year contract.

No, Ann is not greedy. She has a contract with NBC and it is her choice to honor it, NBC doesn't want to. So they pay up. If they can bestow $25 million for the backstabbing Matt then they can pay what is due to Ann.

I didn't think much of Hoda this morning when she and Kathie Lee were discussing Ann's emotions today. Hoda couldn't wait to start discussing their mugs of all things. Enough of Ann it felt like. At least Kathie Lee seemed to care. Hoda or Savannah in Ann's chair whatever, I hope now CBS goes into the no. 2 slot after ABC's no. 1.

I do like Natalie though. She was the only one who seemed genuine in their well wishes to Ann this morning.

When natalie kissed her she said, "thank you sweetheart." She barely responded and only gave the side of her head to Matt, when he kissed her. She said to Al, "I love you."

Problem was, there really was no chemistry between Matt and Ann. and the morning show, despite the fact that the opening story is always hard news (when there's something to report) the banter is a dynamic that the audience depends on.

I'm horrified to admit that I've been watching this show since being a toddler (Dave Garroway and his sidekick, J. Fred Muggs) and the formula works. HOWEVER since our collective attention span has been reduced, the segments are a lot more fluff than (in my opinion) they should be. Sure, I'd like more news and fewer recipes -- especially less boobage (aka kardashian etc. stuff) But we have to accept that this is the direction it's going in for now.

I was not a fan of Ann as an interviewer. I used to cringe when she had someone she had to chat with -- because she rarely let him/her finish; and her interruptions were rarely links to their prior statements.

Oh well. I wish her the best.

I wouldn't give up a job that I'm allowed to do drunk.
