Pre-Recorded Shows

I find it amusing how they pre-record a show (say, on a Weds for a Thurs show), and then when Thurs comes around they will say "It's Thursday and whatever date it is"..Yeah, we know it's Thursday, but why even bother to say that since there's a caption on the screen saying "previously recorded"..I think it was Friday that they had an author on there talking about the Bachelorette show and she said "last night on the show" and then quickly corrected herself by saying " a few days ago on the show". My point is we're not dumb..If it's not live, then stop trying to make the conversation appear to be.

The Today Show is live every single day. EVERY DAY. there might be the occasional pre-recorded segments, but what you see in the studio, every day, is live from NYC unless they're at a remote location, in which case, it's live from that location.

OOOPS on my part..Let me make a clarification..I meant the fourth hour of the Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda..

even that's not pre-recorded. only certain segments are.

Yes yes -- I suppose my prior email didn't convey that properly. on some occasions they pre-record interviews w/ people -- but note to the OP: it is a live show, which explains why they have a substitute host on the occasions when either Kathy or Hoda can't be there.
