Two Minor Questions About This Show...

and GMA. When they show spectators outside the window looking in, do they use some kind of trick to hide inappropriate behavior (I'm assuming these shows are done live), like misleading the crowd about whether they're on TV or not, or using an unusual camera angle? Secondly, when they pan the camera along the crowd after commercials, and the crowd is waving furiously, are those little segments pretaped and run back sped up to increase audience enthusiasm? All the people seem to be waving at an unusual rate.

Yes, the show is done live. I don't believe there's a delay, either. There's a director for the street segments who gets everyone to wave and scream. I don't think they're using any fancy camera tricks or running the tape faster. i've been at the crowd during show time -- on my way to work, I used to have to cross through that plaza. The crowds are idiotic.
