Hoda's lie about Kathie Lee on National TV

So Kathie Lee has her 60th birthday a few days back. Hoda visits Kathie Lee's house saying that they are going to surprise her and that Kathie Lee had no idea they are about to show up. There's a mariachi band and everything. Well, what do you know? Kathie Lee answers the door wearing.. A MICROPHONE. Some surprise, eh?

I get it. You don't want to totally surprise Kathie Lee at her home on national TV. Have the decency then to NOT LIE TO EVERYONE like we're a bunch of morons.

To be fair, I think 'a bunch of morons' is the best way to describe anybody who willingly watches those two clowns squawk over top of eachother every morning
