No More News Desk on Weekend Today?

Looks like they've done away with the news desk on the weekend. Jenna's now been moved to the anchor desk or couch to report the news. I'm no Jenna fan, however, if I was bumped from a co-anchor seat, sent to report the news a few feet away & then brought BACK to the anchor desk to report, I'd be a little salty!! But hey, guess she's glad that at least she still has a job.

I am no Jenna fan, but found that musical chairs craziness to be somewhat foul. She was pretty much demoted, removed from the anchor desk & then brought back to serve as a third wheel. How humiliating is THAT?? Years ago, NBC moved a news reader, Deborah Norville, from the news desk to the anchor desk to sit next to Jane Pauley. And soon after, she replaced Jane. People were not too crazy about how that went down. But to be on anchor desk, moved & brought back is just slimy to me.

Jenna's pregnant, due in August, and will likely take a leave for a time, from the show.

I find her to be abrasive, coarse, and really, not so great.

I wouldn't be surprised if after she has a baby that she chooses not to return.

please please please let that be so! Evidently she and her partner are profiled in this week's People mag.

She has been "promoted" as a news correspondent for NBC News. I would consider this to be a step up then demotion. She won't have to play second fiddle to Erica Hill anymore. She has a stable schedule working M-F now.
