There are a TON of people on the couch now: Matt AND Savannah AND Al AND Natalie AND Tamryn AND Carson AND god knows who else. It's like they're trying to cover up Matt and Al's unpopularity by adding a ton of other people. It doesn't work. Get rid of those two, as well as Savannah (she adds nothing) and the dorky Carson Daly.

Maybe that's what's in vogue right now. Reason being, here in the DC area, our local FOX morning news show used to have two anchors and now has added a third and then adds a fourth at least once during each hour for fluff segments..And it can get annoying when all are talking at the same time.
shareI find more comfort in the forth hour because there are only two people and of the two, only one is actually tolerable and pleasant.

A part of is to mask Lauer and Roker's unpopularity. Today show is trying to follow GMA format of having more than four people on their show. They have been trying so hard to act so hip that their quality has dropped.
