Katherine from Y + R...how did that happen?

She showed up at the double wedding with Lauren's husband (played by Christina LeBlanc) in tow and if I heard correctly, she introduced him as "Justin" ?

I know it's the same network (CBS), but how did that cross-over occur, because
YOUNG & RESTLESS is a Bell production, while GL and ATWT are P & G.

And who does Katherine know in Springfield ?

Jeanne Cooper & Christian Blanc asked to do cameos on one of the final episodes to pay tribute to GL and it's long history. They were coming to the east coast anyway to do a St. Judes appearance and both Y&R and GL agreed to let them appear. I don't think they expected to have lines because she said they were just going to be in background scenes. I think the writers were just having fun by letting her play a rich lady with a young gigolo.

Vanessa spoke to her first mentioning she was an old friend. She was not playing Katherine Chancellor & Christian wasn't Michael. Jeanne called him Justin. Vanessa didn't call her by name but they showed one in the captioning. I forgot was it was.

Michael Damian who played Danny Romelotti on Y&R was also there but he had no lines. He was sitting with Jeanne during the wedding scene.

Thank you, that is cool, sweet, and very full of soap opera comraderie and respect ! Very rare.

Here in Atlanta, the local CBS affiliate moved Y & R to GL's old 3:00 time slot.

Wow I did not care that Jeanne Cooper and Christian LeBlanc appeared on the show I feel they did a disservice to Lisa Brown. Nola was a very important character for quite awhile and a big fan favorite. I think they could have done a little more with her coming back. At least they indicated that Quint and Nola were back together after they ruined their relationship back in the 1990's.

Some people had a different feeling about Jeanne Cooper and Christian LeBlanc appearing on the show. They felt this cameo took away from the final days of the show and instead focused on these actors who had absolutely no connection to the show in any way.

I can understand that. Jeanne was given a scene with Vanessa but Dylan had no scenes with Daisy! Nor Ed with Michelle before he diappeared!!

I like Cooper and LeBlanc but I agree 100% that their appearance took away from GL. They should have NOT appeared regardless of what their intent was. This was GL's swan song. Let the actors who have been on GL for eons have their last hurrah without any distractions.
