Call me crazy but I thought of the Rick and the bbq last week on the 4th. I used to enjoy watching the GL July 4th episode, it would get me in the mood for our own bbq.
shareI thought of it too. It's funny that even when I didn't watch GL regularly, I'd always tune in for the bbq. My favourite GL time of year. :)

I was an occasional watcher in 1952 and from that point forward. I was sick a lot that year and the program helped entertain me. The following years I watch in the summers and...what a treat to be sick as I'd get to stay home and watch.

I still remember during the summer of 1970 when a story line about a short female Dr named _______? got involed with a fast-talken total rat. Somehow it ended in a scene in a burning barn I'd been to a Dr's appointment and arrived home, just in time to hear the announcer say"...and this has been the Guiding Light." I could have chewed nails ! !
