Has anyone ever figured out exactly what it was Tim had? Always been a mystery to me.

Also in the article, Dickens is quoted as having said:-

On June 24, 1865, Dickens wrote: “One of the worst forms of scrofula – rachitism, or rickets . . . arises under the influence of chilly dwellings an insufficient alimentation [nourishment]. . . and milk deprivation in infants.”

Not being a medical man I suspect Dickens wasn't sure. In Scrooge's shoes I'd have asked what was up with Tim.

Yes, to me, this is the only flaw in the otherwise superlative 1951 version: Tiny Tim not only isn't tiny, he has his own London apartment and a string of hot girlfriends.
