Good film

This was quite enjoyable, however all the pro-Christian messaging was off-putting.
It could almost be called a religious film.

Peter Ustinov as mad man Nero was outstanding. The rest of the cast did really well.

As with other Anthony Mann films (El Cid, The Fall of the Roman Empire) the locations are beautiful, the sets are outstanding, and the execution of the entire film worked really well.

The burning of Rome with all the practical effects, was done outstandingly well.

It's a really good film, despite all the Christian messaging.
