Parts of USA still in the Stone Age

I can't believe that in 2013 there are still states in America that exercise the death penalty. Those states have not evolved a bit since the Neanderthal societies in terms of human development (Neanderthals may even have been more evolved). To anyone being American and supporting this cruel, vicious, inexplicably inhumane way of punishment, I would suggest that you seek therapy and have your head examined for your own sake.

The only real murderer in this movie was the blood thirsty public prosecutor. A psychopath in the real sense of the word. As for the jury - they are everything people outside of America think of America and hate about it.

Maybe one day, a murderer will be let out of jail for "good behavior" and will murder a member of your family.

You will realize that if that murderer had been executed, your loved one would still be alive.

And then maybe, finally, you will evolve.

And concerning your comments specifically about this movie, does the word "fiction" mean anything to you?

Some people never miss an opportunity to get on their soapbox and tanner about some pet cause they think they have all the answers to.

I suggest anyone who wants to rant about how barbaric the death penalty is go work in a prison for six months. Once you get an idea of how unapologetic and unsympathetic some felons are, I'd bet they'd change their tune. Prison isn't the greatest place to be but it's certainly not as terrible and inhumane most people think it is. Victims have zero rights but inmates certainly do. I don't see anyone paying the medical bills of victims who were injured by a**holes who have no regard for others rights or needs but inmates gets free health and mental care. Those are tax dollars we should be using to help the elderly or low income families.

I know you posted this 10 years ago, but I just read it and a little while ago I read about a woman in a Texas prison that is scheduled to be released for good behavior. She was convicted for killing a baby--- and possible 46 OTHER babies. She was a pediatric nurse and she killed babies by giving them lethal injections. She got a thrill from the kill. Disgusting, right? Can you imagine the harm this woman will do if/when she is released? I imagine she's been itching to kill a baby again. I also imagine she will get a new identity, eventually get her nursing license again and kill more babies before getting caught.

It's said that Stephen King wrote "Misery" with her in mind. This sick, sick woman should have been put to death. Instead, she will possibly be released! Sad and scary, I'd say.

I understand people have different views on the death penalty, but discussing that here isn't really the proper place. This site is for the discussion of movies and tv shows.

Amen!

Ever notice those who oppose the death penalty tend to support abortion?

Ever notice that those opposed to the death penalty tend to support the killing of unborn babies?

I have no problem with the death penalty ... If a man rapes and kills a four year old little girl .. well I will put it this way ... I, myself would pull the switch , and sleep like a baby that night ... and sweetie , trying to make others look stupid , doesn't make you look smarter .. just the opposite .. and don't bother with a reply , I could care less about what you think of my comment ... in other words .. case closed .

Remember Timothy McVeigh? He was executed by the US government. You must include the entire
US government as also being in the stone age along with those states you're railing on about. The Stone Age President of the United States at the time of sentencing Was William Clinton. Stone Ager Clinton didn't complain about the sentence.

I don't think you know what stone age means.
