Did Clift nick himself shaving?
In the scene where the motorcycle cop gives Angela a speeding ticket, keep your eye on Montgomery Clift's neck. After the cop leaves, we get a minute or two of dialogue between George and Angela with some closeup shots. Clift has a long, thin mark on the side of his neck, looks like he might have nicked himself shaving that morning.
