One of the most uncomfortable movies I ever sat through

Was surprised to see a movie of that period putting the viewer through such a roller coaster of dissonant feelings. Kudos to the director for the courage. I probably won't see it again though, the cringe factor was too much.

I feel that way about Ordinary People, although its more emotionally straight forward. I saw it once and will never revisit it-way too harrowing.
