Excellent camerawork

I was really blown away by the camerawork in this flick.
I think this must be one of the earliest films I have seen that used handheld cameras for running scenes etc.
This movie really made me feel like I was right there among the actors.

I agree with you. Check out the cinematography in another Ryan film; ' Odds Against Tomorrow '. I think it's even better.
