Truly One of the Best Movies of All Time

Ok, perhaps not the best but certainly in the top ten.

I recently watched this movie twice, once in the cheesy English dub and once in the original French and it occurred to me that this movie is very complex and it's not as simple as it appears on the surface. The adults and the children are completely misreading eachother and it's the adults who end up looking foolish while the children are reacting to a stressful situation like normal children would.

Perhaps it's a good thing that Hollywood blockbusters now cost well into the hundreds of millions because it will give rise to independent filmmakers who can make simple budget but quality movies such as this. They don't make movies like this anymore.
