The Really Interesting Thing About TDTEST 1951

. . . is the fact that there is still a (fairly) active Board devoted to the discussion of this film.

I'm guessing that there are not too many 60-year-old films of which this would still be true.

Agreed! I kind of like the relatively recent discussion by this one poster:

This is true of me too. I really liked it when I first saw this movie as a kid. But the more I have read about people trying to dis it here in this forum, the more appreciation I have for what a truly great film it is.

there are actually A LOT of active boards for different old movies. even older than 60 year old movies, that stretch back to the 20's and 30's... :)

If a film is good there will always be interest shown in it, and this is a classic.
I wonder how many films made in the last 10 years or so will still be discussed in 50 years?

The Long Walk stops every year, just once.

For all its quaintness in the FX department and the style of acting, it remains a sci-fi icon. The message still comes across well for most people more than 60 years later.

I am introducing my 14 yr old daughter to it right now. She had to review a 50's movie for school. She just said it was a remarkably good movie. Success!
