Is it just me, or was the front of Professor Barnhardt's house re-used several times during the film? Such as the scene where it's announced that Klaatu had escaped, and the woman rushes her kids inside?

...hmmm...come to think of it, there IS a similarity!

And did you notice the prominently-placed photo of Sigmund Freud on Barnhardt's wall?

As many times as I've seen that movie and I've never noticed the picture until you pointed it out. Wow.

Not uncommom in movies. It's easier to pick out things like this in a classic because it's rewatched so often.
