a memory of childhood
I remember from childhood of amos and andy. I never thought of color just as a very funny show with very talented actors.

I just want you to know that it's refreshing to know that there's someone out there that sees this Show for what it is, A GREAT SITUATION COMEDY THAT HAD SOME VERY TALENTED ACTORS/ACTRESSES!!!
The fact that the cast was "ALL BLACK" was of course rather "unique" for the time(s), but other than that, it was just incidental as far as I was concerned. Keep up your perspective on this Show. If you have any friends who make "color" an issue whenever you mention this Show, just tell them to "relax", sit back, & just enjoy some classic comedy.

It was a favorite of mine during my childhood days, too. But I think the show had already ended before I started watching it. Our local CBS station ran a few episodes until the NAACP pulled the plug on showing the old shows. But I enjoyed the few that I did get to see. I think there are DVDs out now, so I'm thinking about purchasing them.
