Yes, I finally found out what the name of the mountain, hill, peak, or whatever it is, is. You know, the mountain that Jimmy Stewart rides past on his way out of Tascosa, chasing his brother. The one that is behind the Burdette warehouse in Rio Bravo. The one that is behind the ranch house in High Chaparral. The one in the background of Tombstone in the movie of the same name. The one I've seen in a gazilllion movie and TV westerns. The one that says "Hey, this was filmed at Old Tucson studios in Arizona!" It's called Golden Gate Peak.

Quite right, Motorsoft. Golden Gate Peak looms over Old Tucson, but does anyone know exactly where the rocky outcrop from the final shootout is situated? Somewhere near Old Tucson studios, obviously, but where?

UNBELIEVABLE! I've been to Old Tucson Studios twice (I live in Phoenix) and I've always loved that mountain. And now I know it's name. Thankx for the info!!!

Did you know that "Mount Rushmore" is carved into "Slaughterhouse rock".
