I can't believe that was Rock Hudson. I didn't even recognize him.

Me neither. Only after going back and looking at it again did I found myself going "Oh, yeah..."

I knew without a doubt I recognized the voice while watching, but never placed him as Hudson until I saw the credits. It's the calm way he speaks about the white man that is so similar to his Mr. Kirby from All That Heaven Allows.
