The best pirate movie ever

No need to write anything else.

If you haven't seen it, definitely find time to watch this Disney classic.

Wow I hadn't seen this movie since I was just a little kid. I just recently watched it when it came on TCM...wow it was even better than I remember. As a kid I always remember being so frightened when Israel stabs Hawkins. That I was always afraid to rewatch the movie.

Agreed. I'd never gotten around to watching it, figuring that it was "just a kid's movie." But it was on TCM this afternoon, and I loved it. Great stuff.

Absolutely agree that this was an an awesome movie. How much I would have loved to be on such an adventurous voyage and be hero among villains. Such movies are hardly made these days, I just enjoyed this movie from beginning to end :)

Try the 1989 Charlton Heston/Christian Bale version. It is even better than Disney. Closer to the original story and Heston is terrific as Silver. I have a DVD copy of the VHS. I know it is available in the US as a DVD but not yet in the UK, unless you have a multi-region player.
