Perfect adaptation...see if you agree.


I don't think there's enough wild swashbuckling in the original novel to match the kind of action we're used to in contemporary cinema, but with the right people behind it, there could be. Part of the success of a fresh, up-to-date adaptation of the book would also rely on assigning greater depth and meaning to the canon content, again, with the right minds working at it.
