Did you check?...I actually watched Born Yesterday, watched it as kid with grandma and saw again a few years back, Judy Holliday was good, but then I saw who she was up against and surprised she won...Caged the only one I haven’t seen out of the actress noms....I’m always adding to my watchlist from our games and I’m way behind, H, guess I have to fast track Caged and get to the bottom of it..

Judy Holliday from Born Yesterday which is deserving.

Yes, she’s excellent, convincingly transforming from naive young woman into hardened jailbird. That year’s was one of the greatest Best Actress slates ever and it’s hard to argue with any of them. I feel any of the five could have won in many years.

Yeah, that was quite the slate....Davis and Baxter probably canceled each other out, though Davis was so much more established at that point, but the same movie thing siphoning votes and all that; the winner Holliday was excellent, and old Hollywood’s Swanson makes an awesome comeback and last stand....good stuff...
