Who played the black inmate?

Does anyone know who this actress was (she was the one who was real tough until they brought out the bird and then she was terrified)? I'm watching "Torchy Plays with Dynamite" and there's an actress named Madame Sul-Te-Wan who I swear is the same woman but she wasn't in the credits for "Caged." Plus, the "Torchy" film was from 1939 and this actress looks the same as the one from "Caged" (same age). Anyone have a clue who the black inmate in this film was? I went through all the inmates (I think) and couldn't find anyone that seemed to be that actress. Whoever she was, I think she was great! I still think she was Madame Sul-Te-Wan -- the resemblance is uncanny AND both characters were virtually the same (angry prison inmates who start trouble).

you're talking about the wrong movie! you're talking about the barbara stanwyck movie, "ladies they talk about". and it is sul-te-wan that plays "mustard"{i think that's her name! lol}in the movie. if you've never actually ever watched "caged", i hope you do. it's a great great movie.

I think you are talking about House of Women which is supposedly a remake of Caged. Her name is Virginia Capers.
