Louis Calhern playing a second role?

Early in the film, during the police line-up, that voice you hear. I was saying, "I know that voice". I thought it was Lloyd Nolan, then realized how similar Calhern's voice is to Nolan's. Could it have been Calhern playing this extra part?

No. That was the voice of the actor who played the cop standing there with the folder reading off the names of the mugs in the line-up. Similar to Calhern's voice, but not quite the same; deeper and raspier.
