Annie's professional/romantic rival, that is? This script has it as Frank Butler; Barbara Stanwyck's non-musical precursor had it as Toby Walker.

In real life they married when Annie was about 16 and did not meet Buffalo Bill for a few years afterwards. Te rivalry was a dramatic device.
