I love Blanche and Gracie's "50's hairdos. That permanent hairstyle. Was so popular in the "50's with the poufy front curls in back slicked down in the center.

This style was so popular Lucy hAD IT. Then it died outanyone now why?

I think many women just got tired of going to the beauty parlor all the time. For average women, it was probably pretty costly to maintain a certain look.
