Favorite Gracie lines

I swear, Gracie was a genius to have been able to come up with things so amazingly stupid. They wrap around and become brilliant! A couple of my faves:

(Gracie walks in with a huge bouquet of carnations)
George - "Where'd you get those?"
Gracie - "Well, you told me when I went to visit my friend in the hospital that I should take her flowers, so when she wasn't looking, I did!"

(Gracie's showing a salesman some of her books)
Gracie - "Look inside."
Salesman - "Ah, pressed flowers!"
Gracie - "Yes, those are the flowers that George brought me on our first date. Now, look at this book."
Salesman - "Ummm... I can't get this book open, it's stuck."
Gracie - "I know. George brought me candy, too!"

This is my 8-year olds (may not be exact)

Gracie: (Talking about the teenager) "We have so much in common. When I was her age, I was 17 too."

There are too too many ! But one that I recently heard made me fall down laughing.

Blanche is mad at her husband and wants a divorce - she tries to get Gracie to get one from George too and Gracie, ever the sweet friend, agrees.

Blanche: "I'm going to Mexico for my divorce. Where will you go for yours?"

Gracie: "Anywhere George wants. We always travel together."

Gracie comes over to Blanche's and hands her an egg and asks Blanche to put it in the refrigerator. Mrs. Somhers asks her why she did that after she told them the other one was in her refrigerator. Gracie says she was reading a recipe that directed her to separate the eggs! I laughed so hard I cried!!

Blanche comes to the kitchen door of the Burns' house and sees Gracie pouring boiling water into glass jars, then putting them in the freezer.
She asks Gracie what she's doing and Gracie tells her "I'm just freezing this boiling water so that next time I need boiling water I can just defrost it."
