In my comments on the 1993 version I had said that I'd seen the old 1952 version apprently it was this one. This is a great old-fasioned classic.

Really, I liked the old one better then when the Hallmark one came out I liked it better but it really was bad - the girl had a southern US accent. I liked the 1993 one best - what was annoying about it - the way Mary was so bratty? She was supposed to be from the book, I believe.
