Sorry to be technically challenged, but will these DVDs be playable on US equipment?

They'll only play if you have a region-free DVD player (chances are you do not unless you intended on purchasing one). The fact that there will be a large release in the UK in the coming months gives me hope that US releases won't be too far behind.
