I'm watching this on TCM and it seemed very similar to the movie The Deep End starring the wonderful Tilda Swinton. Sure enough, both are based on the story The Blank Wall by Elisabeth Sanxay Holding. Interesting that the trivia listed for both movies don't mention each other.
shareI'm watching this too on TCM! I had the exact same thought about the Tilda Swinton movie, but I couldn't remember the name of it and didn't see it listed uunder her name. I'm gonna go ahead and say it is an adaptation of this move.
shareI love The Deep End, but did not realize it was this film, too! Started watching this one on TCM and realized it was the same story....so cool! I love James Mason and Joan Bennett in this one. It is a good story, too.
