Let's face it--Joe has Kong beat ten ways to Sunday. His supporting cast with The Swrdish Angel, Henry Kulkevitch, and the rest of the boys really shine. Moreover, show me a better example of red-blooded American womanhood than Terry Moore. To show you what a grand guy Joe was, he even agreed to share Terry with Ben Johnson. What a man!

I must agree... in my opinion, Joe was a more likable simian for all his gentleness, while Kong had a massive mean streak.

Joe had to be lovable. After all with Kong, the audience realised that you kidnap an ape from his environment, tie him up, take him to New York, no wonder he is upset!
