...it is a good idea to run into a burning building for rescue purposes while wearing high heels?

Well, Nike wasn't around back then!

It was either that or your bare feet, and in regards to the heat inside, I don't think taking off your shoes would have been a good idea!

That Jill ran into the building at all shows that she certainly had considerable courage--which helps when you grow up in the wilds of Africa.
