It ends with a screen roll narrative saying that Flaubert's acquittal "neraly 100 years ago" marked a new openness in literature.
Of course if you mean, the book... She dies of taking Arsenic, the good doctor and his child are dispossessed of all they own and are seen riding off on a horse back toward the town he came from.
