John Derek
Derek wasn't too bad in this film.
He must have had a lot of help from the director and Bogart, because he is probably one of the worst actors who ever appeared before a camera.
But one of the handsomest men who ever lived.

Derek wasn't too bad an actor, not great by any means, but he wasn't among the worst. He did well in All the King's Men, Saturday's Hero and Exodus, to name three. But his career was hurt by his "pretty-boy" looks and by Columbia's quick disinterest in his career as much as by his limitations as an actor.
