Novel Basis????
I innocently pckerd up Jerome Weidman's 1040 novel I'LL NEVER GO THERE ANYMORE at a used bok store some time ago. It's a "Young Man in New York" novel with a wide cast of interesting characters our hero meets in the Big City. On reading it, I thought one of the sub-plots seemed familiar, and sure enough, this sub-plot was the basis of HOUSE OF STRANGERS.
So they bought this whole book and filmed about 8 or 10 pages of it.
And to add another twist, they later re-made HOUSE, so Weidman's New York novel became a Western!
