I love this film and the characters attitude towards service. Being a soldier, I can assure you that the complaining and smart talk is consistent. The only difference is the amount of swearing.
Then the supply issues and little comforts were handled very well. You'd be surprised how much a hot shower means after weeks of field wipes and cold bucket rinses... especially when shaving.
