The putting out the fire bit
On IMDB it says this routine was inspired by Max Baer's childhood experience of trying to secretly put out the fire on his bed, but in "Abbott and Costello Meet Jerry Seinfeld" Jerry says it's Costello's childhood experience of secretly putting out a fire on a Christmas tree. Which one's right?
