How Come This Is NOT on IMDb Top 250????
I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Great movie! Brilliant script, persuadable acting, unpredictable and ABSOLUTELY GREAT ending... This movie is MUCH BETTER than most movies of Alfred Hitchcock!

sharePe... persuadable acting? Need I remind you that you're watching a '40s movie?
I hope this is as good as you say, anyway. Been meaning to watch it for awhile now but it hasn't happened yet. I, ahem, "grabbed it" during my last Film Noir craze, but my... err, "noir mood" ended before I got to it.

I hear his theme music, he's around here somewhere...
So what if it is a '40s movie? Good acting is always good acting, no matter what! I don't know what's so funny about that?
Well, I liked it alot! I hope you'll like it, too, when you definitely decide to watch it, because almost everything in this movie is on a very high level.
Haha, I'm pulling your leg. Acting is something I'm rarely impressed by in movies this old, though. At least in terms of realism -- although the way people were supposed to act back then was arguably quite different. It was quite theater-like, in my opinion, and it was probably meant to be.
But I do respect that others disagree, anyhow.

Ok, now I get your point. ;) Yeah, in the most of old movies the acting was theater-like.
Well, I think that you will be satisfied with the screenplay and the complexity of the story, too. However, watch it so we can discuss it properly. :)
not enough people, including me, found it to be anything special
it doesn't stand out among the many great noirs of the 40s
so many movies, so little time
