Most studios these days seem to release anniversary editions of their most popular films on DVD... any word if MGM/UA is working on a 60th Anniversary edition of RED RIVER for release this year (2008)? I've heard the current DVD transfer is pretty atrocious.

Yeah, the print could have been cleaned up a bit more, and some extras woulda been nice. You would think that with such an icon of the Western/Cowboy genera it would have been treated a bit better.
Oh well, whatiya gonna do?
