Here's my crazy WHAT IF collaboration thought...

I'm thinking a remake with (oh boy, I can hear the sreaming already but hear me out) the Coen Brothers at the helm (think "Miller's Crossing". A good example of their ability to reinvent -based that one, loosely, on the "The Glass Key") and Bruce Willis as Dunson (just settle down and give it some thought -I'm not a giant Bruce Willis fan. I just have a good feeling about the match -no I'm not drunk). Now who else would fill the cast? How's about James McAvoy for Matt? What say you?

No one has a single thought in response to this? Ok..then..Nice talking to you all(?)

Since you insist...
Most fans of this film hated the James Arness/Bruce Boxleitner remake of this classic, and would REALLY hate another remake. Feel better now?

The Coen brothers are getting too cute by half for my taste. My gf loves their films, and I think they're original, but by chasing a non-conventional approach to emotion in their movies, they come off trite and uncaring. Their last few movies have entertained me and then left a rotten taste in my mouth at the end. I've had it with their self-obsessed, almost film school sophomore underdevelped view of life and the purpose of film. If they don't want to make films with a message, then why do they bother? Oh yeah, money, women fame. Yawn.
