The Yee-haw scene

I this the movie that inspired the yee-haw scene in "City Slickers"

Anybody who has seen this scene in both movies?
I would be interested to hear your opinion on this.

I do think City Slickers was paying tribute to Red River. But I'll go one better. I also think that Cecil B. DeMille took some inspiration from Red River
in the scene with the circus on the move in Greatest Show On Earth and the children of Israel leaving Egypt in the Ten Commandments.
