The greatest western of all-time

This is THE western for two reasons. First off, it is superbly made in every sense with top notch direction, acting, writing and photography. Secondly, it is literally about COWBOYS. The story is based on the very first long cattle drive on the "Chisholm trail" which became the common route from Texas to the Kansas railroads. It is also about American winner take all business, only here, on horseback.

Yeah I'm thinking this may be the greatest western I've ever seen except for maybe Stagecoach. I think I might have preferred something not so -- spoiler -- suddenly sunny at the end but it was spectacular -- I don't think they manage animals like that anymore. Quite a nice surprise.

P.S. No wonder Clifton was considered such a babe.
